She's BACK!!! Yeah!!!

We started little Josie back on a full day of solids yesterday and she held them down. She also slowly is eating more. This morning she woke up after sleeping all night in her crib and ate all of her bottle except an ounce. She ate all of her oatmeal and lunch bottle except an ounce and Michelle just called and was giving her the afternoon bottle and then squash. I'm so glad I have my baby back. Sickness SUCKS!!!
Now if we can get her back on her night routine we'll be good. She used to let me rock her to sleep at night. Since she's been sick we have had to bounce to sleep then rock. The last two nights I've tried to simply start rocking her again and she is having no part of it. I always give in and get up out of the chair but we don't bounce like normal. I've been walking circles with her with the fan on and she'll go to sleep that way. Then I'm laying her in her crib instead of rocking her and she will stay asleep. Last night she slept the whole night by herself and to be quite honest! I didn't like it!!! I woke up at midnight, looked at the monitor and thought to myself, she's not moved, then thought your overreacting, she's fine go back to sleep. I then woke at 3:00 and thought I haven't heard her, looked at the monitor and she still hadn't moved. So I got up and peed, went downstairs, stuck my hand on her chest and she stirred. She was fine just wanted to sleep by herself I guess. I told her when she woke this morning that Mommy likes sleeping with her better. I know I won't when she's 5 but I do now.
I don't think I posted last time but she is sitting on her own now. I can sit her in the floor, put her boppy behind her and some toys in front and do what I need to do. It's nice but playing by herself doesn't last long. She wants you down there playing with her.
I made another scrap page with a new trick I learned in Photoshop and it follows. It is on our Big Snow of the year so far. Poor Levi kept wanting in the pictures with us. Josie loves watching the dogs.
Kodi licked her face this morning and she laughed at her and got all excited. I think we are going to have another animal lover. Sorry Daddy!!! :-)

Let's see, what has happened now?! Time flies
I think I've passed on the love of chocolate with my little one. No! I have not given her any but we went to Sams Club and I bought me a box of Milky Way's. I have to eat a Milky Way a day. I tell Ernie that is my "apple a day." Anyway, it was a whole lot cheaper to buy a box of 36 at Sam's then to buy one a day at Lakeside. So when we got home with them I had to have me one. Josie was sitting on my lap and she was doing everything she could to get ahold of that darn candy bar! It was so stinking funny!!! Mikey got the camera and got a picture of it. Just wait little one and if your Mommy has anything to do with it (or Mama Carole) you most certainly will love your chocolate!

On January 27th we got our first round of a big snow fall. Josie and I had our 1st Snow day on January 28th. Ernie sent me home early on the 27th and on the 28th we had 10" and so Josie and I stayed home. Daddy was out pushing snow and wasn't home til after bedtime all that week and then gone in the morning before we were even out of bed. So we didn't get a picture of Josie in the snow until that weekend. Mike & I had gone to Greenwood the day before to meet with the Doctor and we went to Babies R Us. We bought her a new winter coat because she will be going to the convertible car seat as soon as we receive it. Anyway, she has her new coat on in these pictures. Mikey was taking the pics and Levi wanted to be in them. Josie loves watching him. She wouldn't look at Daddy, she wanted the dog.

Later that night after bath, I set her on the bed and took some pics. She's sitting really well here but this past weekend (Feb 7th & 8th) she can sit on her own. Just having some pillows there "just in case" and she's good to go. Now the next thing will be crawling! Scary how much they learn in the first year. But I love watching her learn all these new things.

We took Josie to Greenwood on January 31st for her 6 month pictures. That was an absolute nightmare. I don't see how the girl even got one good picture. Mommy will have to take them from now on. Poor little girl cried as soon as we set her on the floor. She wouldn't even sit on her own, she had to have our hands right there on her back or she was going over. The photographer probably thought we were a bunch of liars saying that our daughter could sit on her own. Well for your information, look at the above picture, same day! LOL
As soon as we left the area the pictures were taken the little terd was perfectly fine! Mikey wasn't handling it very well either. So little one, you stressed your Dad out this day and now I know if we ever do this again, he will not be going with us.
Sunday, February 1st was Super Bowl Sunday and Michelle, Rick, Riley and Kayla came over. We got everything fryable out of the freezer and fried it up. We had chicken nuggets, fish sticks, french fries, tater tots, mozzarella sticks and I got the kids a cookie from Marsh. We had a good time! Riley played playstation, the girls played together and the Daddy's watched the game.

Kayla was feeding the dog our leftovers.

Josie had her 6 month doctor appointment on Feb 4th. She weighed 18 lbs 4 oz and was 29 in long. She's in the 97% on her height. That she gets from her Mommy.
She threw up in our bed for the first time on Tuesday night at 2:00 AM. Then she threw up four times on Wednesday. No throw up on Thursday. Threw up Friday night and then again Saturday night. By Sunday morning when she did it again, I was ticked and called the Dr and told them I just wanted an appointment. Every time I called them I was getting a different answer and the poor girl had been throwing up for 5 days. We went to Dr Eseri at 2:00 in the afternoon. He checked her over and said it was probably the flu that was going around. So we are assuming that is it, I'm hoping it's about done now!
I think that is it for now.

Not much new here. Just done another scrapbook page and thought I would get it on here.

The little one slept a little better last night. I only had to get up 3 times with her and the first two she fell right back asleep. The third time I gave up and brought her to our bed. She slept until I woke her! Oh well, first born are the most spoiled, right?!
Michelle, Kayla and Josie came up here this morning and I laid Josie down in the floor to change her diaper. She is now not only lifting her head off the ground now her legs are going up stiff also. She gets herself in a "V" shape. I keep telling her now she needs to get sitting on her own. She does pretty good but still wouldn't leave her there sitting by herself.
She is going to Papa Mike and Grandma Jones tomorrow afternoon and Daddy and I are going to go on a date. I'm ready to go out just the two of us I think and that will get them off our back so we don't have to do the "weekly" dinners. I'm over all of that!
Sunday, we get to go get our taxes done and I think after we are going to go to Babies R Us. I just hope we get a really good return this year. We sure do need the money.

Love those cheeks but sure don't miss the food all over the face! She's done being so messy now, now she has the hang of it! :-)

This is a dress that she got at her baby shower from Papa Doug & Mama Carole. When I cleaned out her closet to get rid of clothes she could no longer fit in, I found it. It was bought for her to wear this spring but my little porker is already in this size so we had to wear it to church with a sweater. I thought it was a very cute dress. She looked good in the colors. These pictures were taken January 4, 2009.

These pictures were taken the same day. After church, Daddy and Josie laid down on the couch and took a nap. I love rocking her but the days that he does this I get so much done. However, if I don't have anything to do I am lost when he does this. I pace the floors trying to figure out something that I can do. I enjoy rocking her during her naps but Daddy needs his time too! LOL

Josie has been going through some changes lately. I'm blaming teething but not for sure if that is it or if it's just a growth spurt. She's no longer sleeping through the nights. We have to get up anywhere between 11:00 and 1:00 and put her paci back in her mouth, turn on her mobile and let her fall back asleep. Then anywhere between 4:00 to 6:30 she will wake again, and depending on what time it is may come to our bed to finish out the night.
Well this past Tuesday evening that wasn't going to work for her anymore. She woke at 11:30, we done the normal routine with the paci and the mobile and she was wide awake and ready to go. We took turns going to her room, rocking, rubbing, bouncing, trying to get her back to sleep. Around 12:30 Mikey just brought her back to bed with us. Well that didn't fly either, so I got up and fixed her a bottle, thinking maybe she was hungry. She ate the entire thing, okay so that was it, now time to lay back down. NOPE!!! She remained awake until 2:30 that morning, when I finally got fed up with her, took her to her room, gave her her paci, turned her mobile on and left the room. When I got back to our bed, she was still awake, looking around talking and fussing. So I turned her monitor down and laid and watched her for about 15 minutes and she finally fell asleep.
Then last night, she feel asleep and was in her bed at normal time (8:30) but at 10:30 she woke again. I went down put her paci in and turned the mobile on, that didn't work, so I got her out of the bed and bounced her back to sleep. Once asleep, I laid her back in her crib and she woke instantly and started crying. I was a bad mom too! I was so tired from the night before that I scooped her back up, grabbed her paci and headed to our bed. The little snot fell asleep instantly and slept the whole night until 6:30 this morning. I told Mikey she just wanted to be cuddled by Mommy. He doesn't agree with it but he also doesn't get up with her all night like I do so tough poo-poo!!!
She tried prunes Sunday and Monday and liked them but they didn't like her. After a week of eating bananas and having little pellets as terds, the prunes done a number on her. So we only done 2 days of those and switched to pears. She loves them. Now this weekend we will try peaches and I think we are through everything other than her meats. She'll have to keep her mommy out of her peaches. I love those things! Those and the strawberry-banana baby food.
We discovered yesterday that she doesn't like her oatmeal made with her formula. She didn't eat all of her bottle yesterday morning so Mom made her oatmeal with it. She wouldn't touch the stuff. So there will be no more of that!
I think we are going to go to Babies R Us Sunday after church and check out the convertible car seats. There are too many to choose from and I would feel safer having someone that knows what they are talking about walk me through it. Plus up there you can take them out to your vehicles and try them out. She is getting way too heavy for me to carry in her car seat. I was hoping to make it through the winter but I don't think that is going to happen.
Rick, Michelle, Riley, Kayla, Josie and I went up there last Saturday evening and went to Chuck E Cheese while Mike was at his Paragon banquet. Michelle and I went to Babies R Us but we didn't have much time for me to mess with that.
Josie absolutely loved Chuck E Cheese. It was hilarious, seeing this little 5 month old, squealing, laughing, bouncing and grabbing at everything she could. I don't know if it was the colors and games or if it was all of the kids but she had a really good time. I told Mike he was going to have to go back up there with us to see her. She rode a ride with Kayla and enjoyed that also. I'll post pics of that later.
Well I think that is it for now!

What all has happened since last post?!
Well we didn't start the applesauce that weekend. We went ahead with the greens. We started with peas. Didn't figure she would like them at all. They are nasty smelling and Mike & I neither one like them. Well the poor little girl loved them!!! She ate the whole container and smiled the whole time.
We have also tried green beans. She seems to really like them well also. We started the applesauce on New Year's Day and she liked it. Now this weekend we are going to try banana's. I feel like we are constantly feeding her. She has also started waking in the night more often and I feel like we aren't feeding her enough. I know she's getting enough though, she has to be! She eats four 6 ounce bottles a day that has 2 Tablespoons of Rice cereal in each bottle. She eats oatmeal twice a day and a veggie and applesauce once a day. I'm going to leave her at this until I go to the doctor on Feb 4th for her 6 month checkup. Unbelievable! 6 months already!!!
Her 1st Christmas went well. We went to the Jones' on Christmas Eve for lunch, she got a Fisher Price kitchen and a few other Fisher Price toys. She also got quite a few outfits. Then Christmas Eve night we went to Granny Glodyne's. However, we didn't actually have Christmas because Jeremy, Josh and Uncle Butch and Aunt Shirley were coming in on Friday. So we simply had supper and just hung out. I gave Josie her Christmas Eve pajamas at Granny's house. This is a tradition that I plan on doing ever year. Then Christmas morning we got up and had our own Christmas. Mike & I got her a Tigger and a Leap frog toy. She seemed to enjoy them both. I got Mikey a watch and he got me some pajamas. Then we went to Papa & Mama's for Christmas breakfast. The kids all got a lot and seemed to like it all. Josie got a Bitty Baby, highchair, doll bed, castle, Fisher Price Play & Learn table and a whole bunch of clothes. We had to take basically all of her clothes back cause she was already too big. We then went to all of the graveyards and put flowers on the Grandparents that are no longer with us graves. Then we went to Nana Louise's for lunch. She got clothes and several toys from Nana and Aunt's and Uncles. Last but not least, we went back to Papa & Mama's for the Richardson side of the family. We got to celebrate Christmas with Nathan Garrett and Austin. Not everyone showed, but the ones that did we had a good time.
That Saturday we got together with the clan from Arkansas. There were cousins that never got to meet each other until now. Riley & Kayla had a blast playing with them. Josie had a good time watching all of the kids. It was quite noisy in the house with five little girls in the house and four of them under 3. But they all had a good time.
New Year's Eve, was uneventful. I went to bed at 9:30 and Mike stayed up until midnight. New Year's Day, Mom, Michelle, Josie and I went to the mall and exchanged clothes that didn't fit. Didn't have to fight a crowd at all.
January 3rd, Mike, Josie and I went to Tony and Christie's wedding. It was very pretty! Josie was awesome, she was so quiet and easly calmed. She actually fell asleep with the DJ blaring music less than 10 feet away from us. I couldn't believe it. She must have been extremely tired.
We moved Josie to her own room on January 2nd. I'm still not comfortable with it but I know she needs to learn the independence now. We slept on an air mattress in the basement that night. She done pretty good. She got up around 2:00 and I put her in bed with us. Then Saturday night she slept all night. Sunday night she got up at 10:00 and then again at 3:00. Monday night was the bad night! She got up at 11:00, then again at 2:00, which I took her to bed with us. She slept until 4:00 and from then on she was extremely ressless. She was also a little fussy so I gave her some Tylenol. I'm thinking her teeth were bothering her.
She has started saying "dada" now. I keep telling her she needs to say "mama" but she's just not doing it for me. She is also trying really hard to pull herself up to a sitting position when she is laying down. I've told everyone, once she is mobile, she is gone!!!
We have started using a new bath mat and she loves it. She is down in the water more and has more room and kicks away. I have a video of it on my phone. If I can figure out how to get it on here I'll get it for ya.
I think that's it for now. I will try and get some of the Christmas pictures posted soon. My resolution for the year is to keep up to date with this and my scrapbooking a little better than I do now.

No Way!

So I get this email today from Similac telling about my "5 month" old development stage. I open up the email and begin to read. The very first line is "Your baby’s first year is almost half over"!!! I realize she will be 20 wks on Sunday which is 5 months but I didn't look at it as "almost half over". Man how time flies!!!
She has began babbling more sounds. It's not just "aaaa" anymore. Now it has a bunch of different sounds like she is trying to tell you something.
She has figured out how to make raspberries. When she does a really good one and we laugh she is so proud of herself. She grins from ear to ear.
She is really liking her sweet potatoes and her cereal. She is actually eating quite a bit. I think she is also trying to back herself off on her formula. This weekend we are going to start trying applesauce. We'll see how she likes that one. I myself, don't like it at all but Mikey does. She likes apple juice so I'm thinking she will like this.
We made some ornaments last night of her feet for the Grandma's and Great-Grandma's for Christmas. When Mikey first painted her foot she was okay with it but by the third one she was over it. She cried the entire time we did it. She does not like anything or anyone containing her in anyway. Wonder where she gets that from?! ;-) I'll post a picture of it later.
I also made some calendars for the Grandma's and Great-Grandma's and Michelle. I had to make myself one too cause they turned out really cute. All I did was get some calendar's from Factory Card and then digitally made the covers. Now I'm trying to figure out how to market them on Ebay and make a few bucks. Here's pic's of them:

Jones Grandparents'
Mine
Anderson Grandparents'
Michelle's
I was really happy with the way they turned out. By the way, look at the difference in the pictures of Josie. The newborn picture is the day we brought her home from the hospital. It doesn't even look like the same baby. AMAZING!!!

Another Catchup

Okay, November 24th, we started her on her first food. Aunt Michelle told me to start out with squash so Daddy stopped on his way home and bought her some. We tried it that night before bed and she loved it. She really done good. We didn't lose much with her blowing it out.

Saturday, November 29th, Josie met Santa Clause. We set her down on his lap and she immediately grabbed his beard. She done really well with him. Never cried once. Kayla on the other hand! She was fine when she was sitting with her bubby, but when we moved Riley to put Josie on Santa's other knee, she started crying. So she ended up having to stand infront of Riley and she still pouted.

Sometime this month we had Josie's first snow. I don't remember what day it was but we took pictures when Daddy got home. If you look real close you can see it in the background. It was dark by the time we both got home. Daddy picked up a handful for her to feel. She wasn't quite sure about it but still touched his hand.

On Dec 3rd, we left her alone with Grandpa & Grandma Jones for the first time. It was our 14th anniversary and Mike wanted to go out to dinner. I would have taken her with us if it was up to me. But I know we need to get away from her, both for her sake and mine. It sure was hard though and I won't be doing that anytime again soon. The way I look at it is, I'm away from her Monday through Friday from 8:15 to 4:45 and that's enough break for me. I'm not ready for a babysitter on my time off.

On Dec 7th after Mommy gave her a bath, Daddy wanted to put her in the shower with him to see what she would do. She loved it. He would hold her and she would push herself backwards to get her head under the water. They were in there for a long time and have done it twice since. She's a slippery little booger though so I don't think she'll be getting her baths like that yet.

On Dec 10th, I got the Santa hat out and we took some pictures. She cooperated with Mommy for a little bit. Hats don't seem to bother her but she sure don't like tummy time.

One day while Aunt Michelle was watching her, she laid her down on the floor infront of the tree and turned the train on. As the train would go behind the tree, Josie would cry, then when it would come out and she could see it she would stop. I guess we have another little girl that likes trains.

Dec 1st, she has started reaching and playing with her toys on her playmat. She is also lasting longer periods on her own now. Which is allowing Mommy some time to get other things done.
