Catchup on our Disney Cruise Part 2

Sunday morning, we got up and took the shuttle back to the airport to catch the shuttle to the boat. Once we took care of all the registering, we boarded the Disney Cruise Bus.

Check out the upholstery on the seats.

After an hour drive we catch our first glimpse of our boat.

After the shuttle drops us off, we begin our adventure into boarding the boat. There were people everywhere inside that building but it wasn't too hard to figure out where to go. I definately don't think I'd want to drive myself to a port. It was nice letting someone else take care of all of that.

This was hanging above our heads on the way down the hall to the ship entrance.

After walking in line, getting our photos taken, we enter the boat. They ask your name as you board and then everyone claps and they yell "Welcome the Jones Family". That was pretty cool.

Once we boarded we had nothing to do until we could get into our rooms. So we hung out. Called everyone before we left to let them know we were on the boat and then we set off exploring.

We got in our rooms and were completely impressed. The rooms are a really nice size and the port hole window is huge. Josie loved playing in it anytime that we were in our room.

The details were amazing, you would find Mickey Heads in the most amazing places.

After our instructions about our lifeboats and jackets, it was time for the Sail Away party. That was such fun! So many characters and so many neat outfits. I love the TV! We want one at our house, how cool would that be to hang out in the pool and watch a big screen TV hanging on the side of your house.

After the sailaway party, we went and hung out on the deck to see the ocean as we were leaving port. I don't think Josie even knew we were moving until that point.

On this deck was shuffleboard, so Daddy taught Josie how to play it.

Off to dinner. Our first night was at the Royal Palace. Wow, amazing!

After dinner, we went back to our room, Josie saw her first animal made out of towels. I guess it was our first as well, but it didn't surprise us like it did her. We knew they did it.

The cabin cleaner had also closed the curtain infront of our couch, when we opened it up, lo and behold, a bunk bed! Josie was estatic!

Catchup on our Disney Cruise Part 1

We took Josie on a Disney Cruise this year. It was her birthday present from her Daddy & I. We had an absolute blast!

I made her a calendar on her chalkboard in her room for her countdown to her vacation. We marked a day off every night before bed.

We left on September 8th. This was Josie's first flight and my first commercial air flight. I was so nervous and Josie was just anxious. Dad & Mom took us to the airport, had lunch with us and then sended us off.

Josie had her "Car" animal and was ready for take off.

We took her DS with her thinking it would help occupy the hour and a half in the air, but that only lasted about 10 minutes.

We stayed the night in Florida at a hotel before leaving for the cruise on Sunday. We walked to a TGI Fridays down the road and Josie saw her first palm tree. Just her size too!

When we got back to the hotel room, we got some of the traveler's brochures and her and Daddy hang out looking at them. She also had to call everyone and tell them about her first flight, including Uncle Bobbie.

Uncle's Birthday

We celebrated Nathan's birthday this year with a meal fixed by Mom.

Josie and I went to the grocery store and bought him a bunch of different candy. She had a blast trying to help him open it. And the kids all wanted in it as soon as Nathan revealed what he had.

Dad, Rick & Riley took Dad's truck to a car show and Dad won some trophies. I didn't know anything about it and when they went to find the trophies, Riley had hid them. He was as proud of the trophies as Dad was, and he wanted to be the one to show us.

First Christmas Wish List

This is Josie's first Christmas Wish List that she has ever wrote herself. I found the template online and then helped her spell what she wanted to wish for from Santa.

Josie's-Christmas-List-web

It reads as follows:

doll

dog

horse

ipod

santa animal

dance tree (stuffed tree that dances)

beam (balance beam)

I think Santa can take care of several of those, will have to wait and see!

Apple Acres Pumpkin Patch

On October 13th, Michelle, Mom & I took the kids to the pumpkin patch. That place was packed! Now I think we definitely need to skip church and go on Sunday mornings. Not nearly as busy. We still had a great time though!

The kids got to pick out their pumpkins and then pick out a smaller one that they could carry back to the tractor. The big one that Josie picked out for Mommy to carry was huge. But sure was a pretty pumpkin.

Josie picked out a little pumpkin and everyone kept poking fun at the little pumpkin she picked out. It didn't even weigh an ounce and Mommy didn't have to pay for it. But she was super proud of that pumpkin.

I got a photo of Riley & Josie on their own pumpkin but Kayla wasn't going to cooperate with me on her own. So the only way I got a photo of her was with the other two.

Josie & Kayla rode some ponies before we left. While they were riding, Josie's pony made a neigh sound and shook, Kayla was behind her on her pony, got to laughing and then asked Josie how she got her horse to do that. Course we all laughed and the people running the horse ride thought it was pretty funny too.
